I’m getting excited from my first trip back to NYC, in order to attend the Open Hardware Summit and to help present SADbot at Maker Faire. There’s even a picture of SADbot on the ‘Featured Maker’ page, as part of Dustyn Roberts’ Making Things Move entry. Here’s proof:
In other news, I just ordered about $500 of parts from Sparkfun and Digi-Key for the first prototype of the 3d Geoboard. One of the best things about being a funded PhD student is not paying for materials out-of-pocket. The prototype will be a 4 x 4 x 4 cube, so 64 nodes. I’m still brainstorming possibilities for the physical construction, but I have some neat ideas, so stay tuned.

Looking forward to hanging out with SADbot’s better half – see you soon!
